2014 Dodge Journey SE Now Offers Pentastar V6 and All-Wheel Drive

Dodge Journey SE dealership in NH

Fresh off of a record sales year in 2013, the Dodge Journey SUV is making an even greater appeal to buyers’ wallets in 2014 by offering a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine and all-wheel drive on its more affordable SE trim. That added capability is now available on the 2014 Journey for $1,800 less, as the V6 and all-wheel-drive combo was previously limited to the pricier SXT trim and upward.

Producing 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, the Pentastar V6 creates a highly responsive ride while returning up to 24 mpg on the highway in the all-wheel-drive 2014 Dodge Journey SE. Helping conserve fuel is an advanced all-wheel-drive system that only sends power to the rear wheels when needed, driving just the front wheels at speeds less than 25 mph when the pavement is dry. At speeds greater than 25 mph, torque is sent to the rear wheels during cornering for smoother handling, but when the Journey surpasses 53 mph, the rear application of torque is minimized to further improve gas mileage.

“We expect that the 2014 Dodge Journey SE V6 AWD will be a very popular seller in our area considering its added value and its ability to keep drivers in control no matter how bad our New England weather gets,” said Brian Duval, general manager of Concord, New Hampshire Dodge dealer Bob Mariano Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. “The Journey was already providing buyers with a lot of bang for their buck across its various trims, but Dodge continues to find ways to boost the SUV’s appeal at different price points.”

Starting this spring, drivers will be able to purchase an all-new trim at the higher end of the Journey lineup. Introduced at the Chicago Auto Show last month, the 2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad will slot in between the SXT and Limited trims, and it will sport unique exterior styling like platinum-chrome accents on its front and rear fasciae, platinum-chrome side sills and 19-inch Hyper Black aluminum wheels. Inside, the new Journey Crossroad boasts a premium feel with leather-trimmed seats featuring sport-mesh cloth inserts and gray stitching, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and liquid-graphite accents on the instrument panel. Buyers also receive a Uconnect System with an 8.4-inch touchscreen that enables hands-free phone calls and streaming music.

2014 Dodge Challenger

Emotions run strong when it comes to describing the vehicle you drive around every day, and when it’s time to buy a new model, it can be helpful to hear whether other people loved or hated the car you’re considering. That’s why Strategic Vision has measured how drivers feel about their rides, asking car buyers to rate their vehicle on a scale from 1 (Hate It) to 7 (Love It). Each vehicle was then given a Love Score up to a top score of 1,000, with the highest-rated vehicle in each category being named to the Most Loved Vehicles in America list. 2014 Dodge Charger Pursuit AWD Sets Fastest Lap Time

Dodge Charger Pursuit

When it comes to law enforcement, only the best equipment will do, and no tool is more important for a state trooper than a reliable cruiser that can deliver performance when needed. For that purpose, Dodge has introduced a series of improvements to the pursuit-rated 2014 Dodge Charger AWD police cruiser that make it the fastest ever AWD police sedan. The Charger was also praised for its handling, acceleration and superb braking ability.

The new Dodge Charger Pursuit AWD was recently put through the Police Vehicle Evaluation tests, and it delivered a record lap time in its class, adding to the all-time mark held by the Dodge Charger RWD sedan. One of the main advantages of the new model is that it can automatically switch from AWD to RWD in order to save fuel or improve performance and handling, depending on the situation, without any driver input. That way, our troopers can stay focused on what really matters. This is particularly important for the treacherous driving conditions during the winter months.

The same technology and engineering that make this police vehicle the best in its class are also available for New Hampshire drivers who come to our Dodge dealership in New Hampshire looking for a new Dodge Charger. You know you are driving a quality car when your ride is also the top choice for local troopers!

Trio of Dodge Models Earn Best Buy Awards for Their Versatility and Rides

2013 Dodge Durango There are a variety of factors that consumers consider when purchasing a new vehicle, but when it comes to versatility, cargo space and ride quality, there are three Dodge models that stand out, according to Consumer Guide Automotive. The vehicle-information provider recently dished out Best Buy Awards to the 2013 Dodge Durango, Journey and Grand Caravan in the Large SUV, Midsize SUV and Minivan categories, respectively.

The 2013 Consumer Guide Automotive Best Buy Awards were determined following comprehensive evaluations of vehicles, with criteria including performance, fuel economy, price, features, accommodations, resale value and reliability records. This year, the editors raised the standards for earning a Best Buy Award, resulting in a shorter and more exclusive list.

“With its new Best Buy Awards, Dodge has proven that it is the brand to turn to if you need a vehicle with versatility and cargo space but still want a smooth, quiet ride,” said Brian Duval, general manager of Concord, New Hampshire Dodge dealership Bob Mariano Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. “That mix makes the Durango, Journey and Grand Caravan all great vehicles for families, with each model offering different levels of those attributes to meet the unique needs of parents.”

Consumer Guide Automotive praised the seven-seat 2013 Dodge Durango for its passenger room and cargo space, which expands to nearly 85 cubic feet behind the first row with rear seats folded, as well as its ride quality, with the SUV’s nearly perfect 50:50 weight distribution and optional all-wheel drive offering agility and surefootedness under most driving conditions. When it comes to capability, the Durango also offers class-leading towing capacity, impressive V6 power and an available 5.7-liter HEMI V8 that churns out 360 horsepower and 389 pound-feet of torque.

While editors noted the spaciousness of the 2013 Dodge Journey midsize crossover as well, they were also struck by the acceleration coming from the 283-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, which still returns up to 25 mpg on the highway. Inside, the Journey’s sleek gauge cluster and control panel impressed Consumer Guide Automotive with its clear and convenient display of useful information, as well as its power sources, USB port and audio input jack for mobile devices.

Like its brand-mates, the 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan earned its Best Buy Award thanks in part to its versatile interior space, including its class-leading cargo capacity and 81 different seating combinations made possible by the second-row Stow ‘n Go seats. Editors also lauded the quietness of the minivan’s cabin, which has available LED reading and accent lights that won’t disturb the driver while providing plenty of illumination for passengers.

“Whether you’re taking the kids and their friends to soccer practice or heading out for a long holiday road trip, all three of Dodge’s latest award-winning vehicles are prepared for whatever family life can throw at you,” Duval noted. “The Grand Caravan offers the most space and comfort, the Durango has all the capability you’ll ever need, and the Journey provides versatility without sacrificing responsiveness.”
