Since the early 1990s, American-car lovers have enjoyed the outrageously sporty Dodge Viper. From the concept model that debuted at the North American International Auto Show in 1989 to the most recent iteration, the Viper has remained an iconic sports car in the U.S. Following recent contract negotiations, though, it’s become clear that the Dodge Viper won’t be produced after 2017, signifying the end of an era.
Want to put the pedal to the metal and hear the engine roar? Crave the exhilarating experience behind the wheel of a fine-tuned driving machine? Dodge is providing you exactly that, through two new performance juggernauts — the 2016 Dodge Viper and 2016 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat.
As a matter of fact, the new Charger SRT Hellcat is the fastest, most powerful muscle car ever made. Nowhere else will you find a car where you can get a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V8 engine that outputs 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, and nets a top speed of 204 miles per hour. Taking command of the road will have a new meaning when you drive this beast. It’s also impressively tech-savvy and luxurious, so you don’t have to sacrifice a comfortable ride for pure strength. Now standard in the 2016 model are perks like ultra-premium Laguna leather interior appointments, Uconnect 8.4AN with navigation and five years of SiriusXM Travel Link and SiriusXM Traffic. Charger production is ramping up around the world, and it’s no wonder why after an unprecedented demand for last year’s model.
If the timeless appeal of a Dodge Viper is more your style, behold the new 2016 Viper ACR. The racetrack-ready stunner is powered by an 8.4-liter V10 engine that produces 645 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. It makes navigating the winding roads of New Hampshire a breeze. Plus, with a wide range of performance features available to Viper enthusiasts, such as the 74-inch adjustable dual-element rear wing and the rear carbon fiber diffuser, the 2016 Viper ACR will make for a ride you’ll never forget.

Now, FCA US can add another accolade to its ever-growing list of praise. The automaker’s Uconnect system was honored with the ‘Infotainment System of the Year’ award from Digital Trends, an industry-leading consumer-technology publisher with the goal of simplifying technology in an increasingly digital world.
“Receiving this prestigious award from Digital Trends is a tribute to the team of hardworking engineers, designers and human machine interface experts who continue to evolve the Uconnect system, features and services,” said Joni Christensen, Head of Uconnect Marketing and Customer Experience, FCA US LLC, in a release. “The Uconnect team’s mission is to assist drivers and help keep them focused on the road.”

It includes a host of entertainment and audio options for driver and passenger enjoyment, as well as navigation choices for a stress-free journey every time. With Uconnect systems, users also can listen to SiriusXM Satellite radio, take advantage of Travel Link and traffic update services, hear text messages read aloud and even access the internet through a Wi-Fi hotspot subscription.

New Hampshire Dodge fans, if you’re gearing up for the latest installment in the Fast and the Furious franchise, get ready to sit back and enjoy the ride. When it’s released on April 3, you’ll get to see not one, but two of your favorite Dodge muscle cars speeding across the silver screen. The latest film in the series, Furious 7, includes plenty of the heart-pounding chase scenes you’ve come to live for, and this year it stars the performance-inspired Dodge Charger and the iconic Dodge Challenger.
Actors Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez will be seen racing about in Dodge’s famous muscle cars, just like the ones you’ll find at our Dodge dealership in Concord, NH. Diesel’s character, Dom Toretto, will drive a candy red 2015 Dodge Charger during several chase scenes, while Rodriguez’s Letty Ortiz gets behind the wheel of a black and green 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T. Plus, NH Jeep fans will also have the thrill of watching Ludacris’ Tej Parker flooring it in an armor-plated 2015 Jeep Wrangler.
While Dodge cars have been highlighted in the Fast and the Furious franchise since its 2001 inception, the latest installment comes after an official partnership between the legendary automaker and Universal Studios. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles provided 30 different vehicles for the movie and TV advertisements, and even created a dedicated page on Dodge’s website for the vehicles used in the film. Dodge also partnered with Atlantic Records to feature vehicles in the music videos of the songs on Furious 7’s soundtrack.
